Why we chose this tour

Discover Japan's second largest city on our Yokohama Tour. From Tokyo, you will be picked up from your chosen hotel or bus station, and transported to Yokohama, the second largest city in Japan. This city is located on Tokyo Bay and is just 30 minutes from Tokyo. On the way to Yokohama, the tour will also visit the coastal town of Kamakura which is home to Kotoku-in Temple. This temple is famed for its 13th Century bronze Buddha statue that towers above visitors. The charming town of Kamakura was once the capital city of Japan and today it boasts some impressive historic sites including Hasedera Temple. Hasedera Temple is 1200 years old and includes one of the largest wooden statues in Japan. The tour will also visit Kamakura’s most significant Shinto Shrine, Tsurugaoka Hachimangu which dates back to 1063. Visitors will also have some time to explore the temple grounds and even take a walk to Kamakura Bay to take in the beautiful sea views. We will then leave Kamakura and arrive at the city of Yokohama in time for lunch at Chinatown. After lunch, we will visit Sankei-en which is a sunken garden with idyllic tea rooms, tiered pagodas, and houses that date back to the Edo period. Another popular landmark in this city is Yokohama Bay Bridge which spans across Tokyo Bay. From here it will be time to head back to Tokyo where the tour will drop you off at either Ginza or Shinjuku.
