Why we chose this tour

Along the eastern shore of the Adriatic Sea, Split is the second largest city in Croatia, and the largest city in the picturesque Dalmatian region. Split is home to one of the largest preserved examples of Roman architecture in the world - the impressive Diocletian’s Palace - built at the turn of the 4th century AD for the Roman emperor Diocletian. When in Croatia, be sure to visit this UNESCO World Heritage Site! Our Split Walking Tour will take you on an adventure through Roman history - walking along the scenic promenade, exploring Diocletian's Palace, and visiting the Temple of Jupiter!

Our Split Walking Tour is available every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday and invites you to walk through immaculately-preserved Roman history. Your tour begins just outside the Old Town, from the City Map. From there, you’ll venture to Diocletian’s Palace, the ceremonial site of Peristil, and St. Domnius – the world’s oldest cathedral!

Discover the Temple of Jupiter, Egyptian sphinxes, the Vestibul, and Cardo Street – which leads you to the Golden Gate and Grgur Ninski Statue.

The Split Walking Tour starts and ends in Split with guaranteed departures.
