Although the lake is artificial, it has merged beautifully with the dense green forests and mountains surrounding it. The tour will take you on a 52 km ride around the reservoir, stopping at picturesque villages along the way. The fresh mountain air and beautifully calm natural surroundings make for a lovely day trip experience for lovers of nature. This private tour is available for booking 7 days a week, April-October, weather permitting.

Piva Lake is located in Northwestern Montenegro, Surrounded by the Vojnik, Golija, Volujak, and Maglić mountains. This man-made lake is one of Montenegro’s most beautiful; the turquoise waters teeming with trout and chub make it a fisherman’s paradise. At 675m above sea level, it is the most elevated artificial reservoir in the world. Dense forests, limestone plateaus and spectacular canyons formed by the Tara, Piva, Komarnica, and Sušica rivers make the landscape even more striking. Biking and nature lovers will absolutely love this area for its stunning landscapes and interesting route past several picturesque villages.

6:00 - 09:00 - Pick up from Podgorica, Budva, Cetinje, Kotor, Tivat, Bar and Ulcinj

You will be picked up from your hotel in one of the above mentioned cities.
Tour can start between 06:00 - 09:00 am.

Guided Biking Tour of Piva Lake

Starting at Rudinice, you’ll bike a scenic trail around the lake, through tunnels, over a long bridge crossing the reservoir, and past quaint villages.
Descend down Rudiničko hill to the ’Gagović Brothers’ bridge.
After crossing the bridge to the other side of the lake, we will ride past several villages including Dubljevići, Borkovići, and Boričje.
Continue to Kruška, an interesting crossroad with tunnels will lead us to another bridge on the lake.
The tour will then pass through the old town of Plužine and through the village of Goransko before heading back to the starting point at Rudinice, near an ethnic village.
An optional stop at Piva Monastery is also possible.
Total tour duration is 6-7 hours and includes 52 km of riding.

15:00 - 18:00 - Drop off at Podgorica, Budva, Cetinje, Kotor, Tivat, Bar and Ulcinj

You will be dropped off at the same location you were picked up from.
