- Start your day very late, or very early, with a 12 am pickup and drive to the area near Bromo, Probolinggo, a stark landscape punctuated by active volcanoes and surrounded by dense jungles.
- After 3 hours of driving through the mysterious and dark landscape, you'll take your four-wheel drive vehicle towards Mount Penanjakan to enjoy the colorful sunrise as it lights up the peak of Mount Bromo.
- Make your way towards the slopes of Bromo, passing a vast sea of sand created in an eruption, and then take a trek up to the peak of Mount Bromo.
- From the top, you'll have a panoramic view of the active crater, caldera, Mount Batur, and Java's highest summit, Mount Semeru.
- If you're lucky, you'll also be able to spot a nearby temple that details the history of the Hindu Majapahit Kingdom.
- Return to the car and enjoy breakfast at a local restaurant before your last stop of the day, the magnificent and rushing Madakaripura waterfall that tumbles 700 feet into a cylindrical canyon.
