Starting the day, we'll visit the Fushimi Inari Shrine, the most famous spot in Japanese mysticism with its amazing 'torii' path of 10,000 red gates which line the hillside. We'll continue to the Kiyomizu-dera Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Kyoto's most popular and picturesque sites, dating back to the year 778 CE. Continuing to the Kinkaku-ji Temple, the "Temple of the Golden Pavilion", one of Japan’s most iconic sights, explore the Buddhist Temple, before enjoying lunch. The final stop, Arashiyama is a site of outstanding natural beauty, renowned for its amazing Path of Bamboo which we'll walk, and the Togetsukyo Bridge. During the spring cherry-blossom season, and autumnal leaf-fall season, the site is even more remarkable.
