Christmas in Bethlehem and Jerusalem 2 Day Tour Itinerary
Day 1 - Jerusalem & Bethlehem
- You will be picked up from selected hotels in Tel Aviv (14:30) and in Jerusalem (16:00).
- Start your day with a guided tour of Jerusalem and take in the magical atmosphere of the city on that special day. You will visit the Mount of Olives, where you have time to take in the striking panoramic views over the Old City of Jerusalem. Continue to the Old City and visit the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the site that marks Jesus' crucifixion.
- After the tour, you will head to Bethlehem the birthplace of Jesus.
- After arrival in Bethlehem, you will enjoy a guided tour with a local tour guide. Some of the highlights of the tour will be Shepherds’ Field and The Milk Grotto.
- After the tour, you will make your way to Manger Square to enjoy a festive holiday dinner before having free time to view the festivities and see Midnight Mass from the maxi-screen.
- The tour will end at 2:30 am at a centralized location in Jerusalem and at 3:30 am at a centralized location in Tel Aviv.
Day 2 - Ein Karem, Qasr el Yahud & the Dead Sea
- On Christmas morning you will be off on a journey into the bible and visit off-the-beaten-track biblical sights in and around Jerusalem. You will be picked up at 10:00 am from a centralized location in Tel Aviv and at 11:00 am from a centralized location in Jerusalem.
- First, you will visit the ancient city of Ein Karem on the western slopes of Jerusalem. Ein Karem is the historic birthplace of John the Baptist. Enjoy an extensive tour of the historical sites with your tour guide.
- From here you will continue towards the Judean desert and stop at Qasr el Yahud, the baptism place of Jesus at the Jordan River.
- Your last stop of today will be the Dead Sea, where you will have time to relax, take the chance to float in the salty water and watch the magical winter sunset before heading back to Jerusalem or Tel Aviv.
