China Express 7 Day Private Package Tour: Beijing, Xi’an and Shanghai Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrival to Beijing
- Arrive in Beijing for your first day in China, flying into the capital, and being picked up by a private driver for a transfer to your hotel.
- The evening is yours to rest or explore the city on your own.
- Overnight in Beijing.

Day 2 - Beijing: Mutianyu Great Wall and Summer Palace
- Start the morning with a 2 hour drive through China's sweeping countryside on your way to visit one of the 7 Wonders of the World: the Great Wall.
- The section you're visiting in Mutianyu was built during the Ming Dynasty, over 600 years ago, and you can either walk to the top or hop into a cable car.
- Once you've reached the summit, ramble from tower to tower as you admire the panoramic views and rugged mountains that reach beyond this military marvel.
- Your afternoon will be spent at the Summer Palace, a former getaway and resort for the royal families that lived during the Qing Dynasty.
- The opulent architecture and verdant gardens are sure to charm you with their beauty and uniqueness.
- Make your way to Kunming Lake to admire the expansive sapphire waters and see the famous Longevity hill before returning to your hotel in Beijing.

Day 3 - Beijing Forbidden City and Continue to Xi'an by bullet train
- Today you'll dive into the marvels of ancient and contemporary China, beginning with a visit to the world's largest city square and an iconic site: Tian'anmen Square.
- The architecture and crowds are sure to amaze you as you make your way to the world's largest palace, the Forbidden City in all of its glory.
- Wander the main buildings with your expert local guide, diving into the culture and history of this magnificent facet of China.
- Grab a quick lunch before you hop onto an even quicker bullet train to Xian to experience this quintessential form of Chinese transportation.
- You'll be taken by a private driver to your hotel for check-in before a free evening.

Day 4 - Terra Cotta Warriors, Old City Wall and Muslim Quarter
- Head out of Xian to see one of the 20th century's most important archaeological sites, the Terracotta Warriors and Horses.
- This army was crafted of clay to protect China's first emperor after his death, and over 7,000 figurines create a spectacle like you've never seen before.
- Visit the museum's 4 exhibition halls where you can see the 2,200 year old artifacts that have been unearthed alongside the warriors themselves.
- In the afternoon, walk the incredibly well-preserved city wall in Xian that's stood since the Ming Dynasty.
- You can walk, bike, or even jog along the top of the wall to see the streets of the Old City and modern city on either side of its ancient stones.
- End the day with a visit to the bustling Muslim Quarter, where you'll see the stunning Bell and Drum Tower as you make your way past shops, stands, hidden restaurants, and markets.
- Xian is also home to the largest mosque in all of China if you're looking to explore a little more!
- Overnight in Xian (Breakfast and lunch included).

Day 5 - Xian to Shanghai by Air
- Your day starts with a 2 hour flight from Xian to Shanghai, where you'll be taken to your hotel.
- Shanghai is one of the country's best gastronomic spots and filled to the brim with upscale shopping, gorgeous galleries, and all sorts of other attractions.
- Overnight in Shanghai (Breakfast and lunch included).

Day 6 - Shanghai City Tour
- After a great breakfast at the hotel, you're off for a fully guided tour of all of the best that Shanghai offers to visitors with the help of your local expert.
- Some of the highlights you'll visit include the Bund, a protected historical area on the banks of the winding Huangpu River, the Yuyuan Garden, an oasis in the heart of the historic Old City, and other alleys hidden beyond the labyrinthine streets.
- You'll also see the stunning sector of Xintiandi, a former French colony, and the world-renowned Jade Buddha Temple.
- Take the night to discover more of the city, and rest for your journey out of China.
- Overnight in Shanghai (Breakfast and lunch included).

Day 7 - Departure from Shanghai
- As sad as we are to see you go, we wish you safe and happy travels wherever your journey takes you!
- You'll be taken to Shanghai Airport by our private driver.
