Make sure to rest up, because your first day of touring will be full of exciting sites and new information to absorb.

Start off your Cairo tour with a visit to the Pyramids of a Giza and the Great Sphinx, sites you likely have been waiting your entire life to cross off your bucket list. Next, visit the Valley Temple, one of the oldest in Egypt, and Saqqara, Egypt’s ancient burial grounds for the kings. After a long morning, refuel with an authentic Egyptian lunch before making your way through Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt, which is now an open-air museum with many impressive sites and ruins.  At night, enjoy some more time to explore Cairo on your own.

On your last day of touring, head to Alexandria, which was once the stronghold of the Roman empire in Egypt. Visit Pompey’s Pillar, built for the emperor who took control of Egypt, and the Catacombs of Kom el Shokkafa, one of the largest Roman burial sites. Enjoy a delicious lunch of seafood fresh from the Red Sea before finishing your tour with two of Alexandria’s most well-known sites. You’ll visit the Citadel of Qaitbay, which is built on the ruins of the legendary Lighthouse of Alexandria, and enjoy the seaside views. Of course, no trip to Alexandria would be complete without stepping foot in the Library of Alexandria, which was once the largest in the world and the ancient cradle of research and learning. End your day with one last free night in Cairo before returning to the airport the following morning, with a head full of new knowledge and a longing to return for more.
