One of the many natural wonders in Okinawa, Todoroki Falls are easily accessible waterfalls. Part of what makes the falls so appealing is that they can be easily accessed without hiking. Todoroki literally translates to “roaring” in Japanese which is an accurate way to describe the flowing falls.
A perfect escape from the city, Todoroki Falls flowing water streams are fresh, clean and invigorating. Beyond the flowing falls, there is also a plunge pool area where visitors can relax and enjoy. Visiting Todoroki Falls is particularly enjoyable in the summer months as it offers a cooling escape from the summer heat. How to visit Todoroki Falls
To enter Todoroki Falls there is a small admission fee, which can be purchased at the entrance using a vending machine system. The tickets can be purchased in the parking lot.
Located off the highway, about 5 minutes driving from the main road, the Todoroki Falls can be reached. There are also restrooms facilities for changing and a few picnic tables surrounding the park area.
If visiting via JR, the Todoroko Falls are approximately a 45 minutes drive from the JR Isahaya Station.
Todoroki Falls are enjoyable for the whole family and safe for children to swim as the water is clean, and the pool area is still. For those who are not interested in hiking, Todoroki Falls is an ideal stop to enjoy the clean and natural, lush surroundings.
