After the months we’ve had dealing with the world’s worst health crisis in one hundred years, we’re all eager to get traveling again. Can we travel safely? Absolutely. But travelers and travel companies such as Tourist Journey are going to have to expect bumps in the road. Keeping up-to-date with the latest Covid-19 Travel Information is going to be vital.
More than just an absent face on the web, as passionate travelers we get how frustrating the last months have been. Rest assured we remain committed to offering you the best tours and experiences out there. And not even coronavirus is going to stop us from achieving that aim. We have been working hard behind the scenes to minimize the risks. We will do nothing that puts your health and safety at risk. In this confusing time for travelers, we’ve brought together the Covid-19 travel information you need to know about.
Covid-19 Travel Information

There are two separate pieces of information you will need to be comfortable with before traveling anywhere with Tourist Journey. Both are likely to change regularly and may change with little prior warning.
The first is your home or resident country’s Covid-19 travel rules. There may be limits to the reasons why residents may travel, which could potentially prohibit travel for tourist purposes. Your government may also have quarantine and/or Covid-19 testing rules set up for your return home.
The second is the rules of the country you’re looking to travel to. The majority of destinations are likely to require proof of negative Covid-19 status and/or vaccination for the foreseeable future. It is unlikely you’ll get onto a flight without either one or both.
Covid-19 Entry Regulations by Country

The entry regulations for each country in the world are regularly updated by the IATA. However, we recommend you confirm them with individual nations too. The World Health Organization (WHO)’s Covid-19 dashboard shows current trends for many countries, based on that nation’s officially released figures. They can give an indication of the country’s current level of Covid-19 infection.
Following are links to the ministries of health for our top destinations: Greece, Italy, Iceland, Portugal, Spain, Turkey, Mexico, Israel, Jordan, United Arab Emirates (UAE, including Dubai and Abu Dhabi), Costa Rica, Egypt, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, and Morocco. Here you can find the guidance you’ll need for visiting those destinations.
In addition, having good travel insurance is going to be more important than ever. You should try and find a policy that gives you Covid-19 cancellation cover, in case you have to cancel your trip due to coronavirus restrictions in your home country. You will need medical insurance which covers treatment for illnesses including coronavirus, as well as the potential cost of quarantine or an extended hotel stay should you be barred from boarding a flight due to a positive Covid-19 test. Most insurance policies now cover this as standard, but it’s essential to double-check.
Keeping Safe on Our Tours

To stay safe while traveling with Tourist Journey you should follow the WHO’s Covid-19 advice to the public, which brings together the work of the world’s top scientists and researchers. Although primarily created for US citizens, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention also has detailed country-by-country advice.
Keep Covid-19’s main symptoms in mind at all times, and seek medical help immediately should you develop any. On the main, you should be extra careful when entering crowded areas. Maintain social distancing measures whenever possible, wear a suitable face mask over your mouth and nose, and wash your hands with 70% alcohol or soap at regular intervals for at least 20 seconds. That’s the time it takes to sing a verse of ‘Happy Birthday’.
You should also follow any local guidance, such as one-way routes through museums. They have been created to keep you safe. The risk of transmission is substantially reduced outside rather than inside.
It should also be noted that hotels and attractions may limit large gatherings. However, it’s not our intention to send you on packages or tours that you won’t be able to fully enjoy.
